Black Melton Raglan Coat

Just when you thought you wouldn’t be seeing another raglan coat from Poszetka this year… we’re excited to debut the heaviest coat we’ve ever made.

It fits perfectly with the ‘modern vintage’ theme of November’s drop – it’s black, cut from a super-heavy (1000g!), hard-wearing and wind-resistant melton wool, yet made in a contemporary silhouette, evolving from our famed belted raglan cut that has long been a part of Poszetka’s range.

The form was already beautiful, so we have concentrated on function. You can now button our raglan coat at the neck, keeping the sides close together. The sleeves feature a balmaacan-style strap that lets you tighten them comfortably. The side pockets now have a cotton lining, making them cozier for your hands. The most important change is the length* – it’s now, as we like to call it, proper, hitting below the knee on most silhouettes.

Raglan sleeves and the belted closure give freedom of movement even with such heavy cloth – the coat provides great insulation yet doesn’t feel restrictive. The black color makes it a versatile piece to pair with both formal outfits and minimalist, streetwear-inspired looks. Well, you can throw it over basically anything – from a full suit to jeans-and-sportcoat combos, or even sweatpants and a sweatshirt for a Saturday morning dog walk.

*Please note that despite the lack of “long” sizes, the sleeve construction also leaves a longer-than-normal 5 cm inlay that allows them to be lengthened.
