‘Gamefeather Tweed’ Wool/Alpaca Body Warmer

Body warmers are a practical layering piece that can be worn both under and over multiple garments from our seasonal selection. This season, we’re introducing two versions in vastly different fabrics with distinct characters - one from Ireland and the other from Italy - continuing our collection's theme of blending northern and southern tailoring influences.

This one is cut from a truly interesting and unusual Irish cloth. It blends Donegal woolen yarns, known for their characteristic colorful flecks, with the delicate and luxurious alpaca, all woven into an irregular diamond-like pattern that the team at Magee calls Gamefeather Tweed. Up close, you'll spot a myriad of red, blue, orange, green, and yellow flecks scattered across a cream and black background. It's surprisingly versatile, yet far from an ordinary choice - precisely why we love it!

It can be worn under an overcoat, a casual jacket, or even a sportcoat, layered directly over a shirt, sweater, or light overshirt. It looks particularly good when styled with an Après Ski aesthetic in mind - paired with a thick, textured sweater, a touch of color, and a standout accessory for a relaxed but chic look.
