"Katowice" Square Scarf
We have a feeling that this one should already be treated as a classic and remain in our offering permanently - a large (65 x 65 cm) square scarf with an original design by Jan Kallwejt, depicting monuments and symbols of Katowice.
Instead of painting a map and illustrating the whole country as we did with Poland and France, we decided to feature our favorite and most memorable places of our hometown, such as Spodek (the so-called Flying Saucer, a sports and cultural venue), Drapacz Chmur (a skyscraper from the 1930s), modernist buildings (like the Corncob), and a few neons, for which the city was once famous.
The colors correspond with the theme - the background is dark navy while the other colors are bright, neon-like. To fully express them, we have printed the illustration on pure silk from the Como region in Italy. Obviously, as with all of our scarves and pocket squares, the edges are hand-rolled by our skilled craftswomen locally, here in Katowice.
We see our square scarves as unisex pieces. Although we designed the size with women in mind, it can be worn as a neck piece by men too - just tie it nonchalantly like a bandana and pair it with casual outfits.
