‘Midnight’ Donegal Tweed Suit

The story of this suit runs a little deeper than most. It all started with a love for one particularly intriguing swatch of fabric, which evolved into a sample, then a MTM commission for our creative director, Mateusz, and finally made its way into our collection nearly a year later. Today, it's still one of our firm favorites!

Once you see the fabric up close, you’ll understand why. Yes, it's Donegal Tweed, but not just any Donegal Tweed. The color combo lets the texture really pop. The base is a blend of black and navy yarns, so if you’re wondering whether the suit is black or navy, the correct answer is: "both." Scattered across this base is a stunning array of colorful flecks - Magee calls this fabric 'midnight,' and we couldn’t have picked a better name to describe this night-sky-inspired look.

Perhaps surprisingly for some, yes, this suit is versatile. It can be worn quite seriously - just look at Paweł in his classic, conservative combo - or styled in a more fashion-forward way. Perfect for business, paired with a shirt and tie (maybe even a waistcoat for good measure), or as an alternative eveningwear option, like with a minimalist black turtleneck.
