Blue, Cream and Brown Wool Shantung Tie

We love pure shantung silk, but we also enjoy mixing it with wool for our fall/winter seasonal ties. A blend of raw, unrefined silk yarn, with its characteristic irregular slubs, combined with softer, more matte wool, creates a unique texture, perfect for simple patterns like these wide, colorful stripes.

The fabric for our wool/silk shantung ties comes from the Como region of Italy - Europe’s center for high-quality silk production. To highlight its unique texture, we leave these ties untipped and hand-roll the edges - and it’s all done locally, here in Katowice, by our skilled craftswoman, Mrs. Jadzia.

You can treat these as a seasonal alternative to more conservative regimental ties - playful and more textured, ideal for pairing with heavier sport coats and suits. However, they also pair exceptionally well with classic dark suits, adding a touch of visual interest to an otherwise plain outfit.
