Saffron Shantung Tie
Shantung is a fabric made from raw, unrefined silk yarn, featuring characteristic irregular slubs that result from the varying lengths of individual fibers. Its pronounced texture and distinct ‘pliable’ stiffness make it an excellent choice for ties.
The fabric for our silk shantung ties comes from the Como region of Italy - Europe’s center for high-quality silk production. To highlight its unique texture, we leave these ties untipped and hand-roll the edges - and it’s all done locally, here in Katowice, by our skilled craftswoman, Mrs. Jadzia.
Shantung ties look fantastic with seasonal tailoring, complementing the fuzzy textures of tweeds and flannels. They also pair exceptionally well with classic suits, adding a touch of visual interest to an otherwise plain outfit.
