‘Gamefeather Tweed’ Wool/Alpaca Blouson

If we were to tell the full story of this garment, it would be more about the fabric than the cut. Not that the latter isn’t interesting - in fact, we’ll have a lot to say about this M51 wool shirt inspired cut later this season - but the cloth itself is truly striking.

It blends Donegal woolen yarns, known for their characteristic colorful flecks, with the delicate and luxurious alpaca, all woven into an irregular diamond-like pattern that the team at Magee calls Gamefeather Tweed. Up close, you'll spot a myriad of red, blue, orange, green, and yellow flecks scattered across a cream and black background. It's surprisingly versatile, yet far from an ordinary choice - precisely why we love it!

With the added alpaca, the cloth has a beautifully soft and luxurious hand, making it a pleasure to wear - even directly over a t-shirt, as the soft texture feels great against the skin. Its weight (420g) allows it to function as a sportcoat substitute for casual settings, while in the fall, it can easily be worn as outerwear when layered over a sweater.
