Kwestionariusz: Ha-Neul Lee (@hotneul)

We have asked Ha-Neul Lee (@hotneul) a few questions about his life, clothes and interests.

Intro

What do you do for a living?

H: I am a full-time content creator focused on fashion-themed publications on social media.

What sparked your interest in menswear?

H: I have been interested in fashion since my mid-teens. Styling clothes and wearing them boosted my self-esteem. I often thought about how to look cool while admiring the styles of movie stars, characters they played, magazine models, fashion designers, and brand directors. I made a lot of effort to look like them!

All About Menswear

Describe your everyday attire. Do you have any kind of "menswear uniform" that you repeatedly wear?

H: I tend to dress up in timeless, classic styles. I think this makes me stand out since a lot of people just wear t-shirts these days. I like to wear shirts and other smart pieces too.

What's your single favorite piece of clothing in your wardrobe?

H: I like navy blazers in general, not a particular one. I own a few in a range of materials, so I have something for every season. They're good for both casual and smart styles.

Is there an item of clothing you would love to own but haven't acquired yet?

H: A tailored suit, actually! I only have tailored jackets, but not a whole suit. It's not necessary these days, but I would really love to commission a suit out of my favorite fabric and keep wearing it later on.

Who is your biggest style inspiration or favorite style icon?

H: Not a person, but a whole genre: Ivy style is my biggest inspiration. I have a few favorite styles, such as vintage military, workwear, etc., but I think Ivy style is a true classic that anyone can wear, no matter their age. For me, there is no single style icon.

Bigger Perspective

What music album or playlist have you been listening to the most recently?

H: I’ve been listening to one particular song a lot: John Lennon's Imagine.

What's a destination you've yet to visit but would love to see?

H: I really want to go to New York in the U.S. I’m sure it would be a wonderful experience.

Besides menswear, what are your other hobbies?

H: I like watching movies and going to art exhibitions. Experiencing something new reminds me of fun and inspires me to create.

What's your favorite sport or activity?

H: I work as a model and post a lot of myself on YouTube and Instagram, so I enjoy regular fitness and running these days. Due to the nature of my job, I have to stay in shape!

What would you recommend to our readers this season?

H: I’d recommend silk scarves, for sure. They are a great accessory to add to a simple, casual summer outfit - wearing a scarf can completely change your overall look.
